Principal Software Engineer, VC-Backed Startups
Overview

What You'll Do7
- 1Define and drive technical architecture, full stack development strategy, and best practices.
- 2Build scalable, high-performance applications using React, Node.js, Django, and FastAPI.
- 3Design and maintain APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- 4Optimize performance, security, and reliability across the application stack, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes.
- 5Work with founders and product managers to align business and technology goals.
- 6Establish code review, testing, and deployment standards using CI/CD pipelines and Terraform.
- 7Mentor senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Requirements9
- 18+ years in full stack development with a strong record of technical leadership.
- 2Expertise in front-end frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js, or Svelte.
- 3Expertise in back-end frameworks: Node.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, or FastAPI.
- 4Strong experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
- 5Proficiency with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 6Experience with containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
- 7Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, or Java.
- 8Strong background in CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- 9Experience mentoring engineers and leading large-scale technical projects.
Salary Insight
$170 - $270k per year
