Overview

As our Aquatic PTA, you own the rehabilitation outcomes for residents in our newly re-opened pool at Brooke Knoll Village. You deliver 1-on-1 therapeutic sessions that restore mobility and independence. You join a clinical team backed by Magnolia Health Systems, gaining job security and advancement paths. This PRN role offers schedule flexibility and direct patient impact from day one.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Implement aquatic therapy programs for residents, using therapeutic exercises and pool-based modalities to improve strength and range of motion.
  • 2Document patient progress in EMR systems, ensuring compliance with Medicare and state regulations.
  • 3Collaborate with PTs and OTs to adjust treatment plans based on patient response.
  • 4Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
  • 5Maintain a clean, safe pool environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • 6Manage a caseload of 15-20 patients per day, prioritizing urgent needs.
  • 7Attend care plan meetings and provide input on patient discharge criteria.

Requirements7

  • 12+ years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in acute care or skilled nursing settings.
  • 2Active PTA license in the state of Indiana, with current CPR/BLS certification.
  • 3Experience with aquatic therapy techniques, including Ai Chi or Bad Ragaz.
  • 4Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically PointClickCare or NetHealth.
  • 5Ability to lift and transfer patients up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • 6Strong documentation skills with attention to insurance requirements.
  • 7Graduate of an accredited PTA program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
