Physical Therapist, School-Based Pediatric
Overview
You will own physical therapy services for K-12 students at a local Intermediate Unit in Broomall, PA, working 4 days per week in a 1099 contract role. You will assess, treat, and document student progress under IEP guidelines. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. This role offers on-site and off-site mentorship, a lending library for testing tools, and access to a team website for resources and collaboration. You will join a company backed by Kelly and dedicated to provider retention and quality treatment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments.
- 2Plan and provide specialized physical therapy techniques through individual and group sessions to meet educational needs per IEP goals.
- 3Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to develop IEPs and monitor student progress.
- 4Evaluate student readiness for termination of therapy services and adjust plans accordingly.
- 5Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate physical therapy into classroom activities.
- 6Communicate with parents to support their child's physical therapy program.
- 7Compile, maintain, and file reports and records required by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy.
- 8Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy research, theories, and practices.
Requirements7
- 1Valid state license as a Physical Therapist
- 2Child Abuse, Federal, and State Clearances
- 3Experience working with children K-12 preferred
- 4Ability to work 4 days per week onsite
- 5Knowledge of IEP process and special education law
- 6Strong documentation and report writing skills
- 7Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
