Overview
You will own blood collection and specimen processing across multiple Labcorp clinics in the Atlanta area. You'll use venipuncture and capillary techniques on patients of all ages, ensuring accurate data entry and specimen preparation. This float role lets you work with diverse teams and locations, building a broad skill set. You'll gain exposure to various clinical environments and grow within a global diagnostics leader.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages
- 2Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- 3Enter patient information precisely into the LIS system
- 4Process billing details and collect payments from patients
- 5Prepare and label all collected specimens for lab testing
- 6Maintain patient and specimen logs for accuracy
- 7Deliver exceptional customer service during patient interactions
- 8Handle administrative duties like scheduling and filing
- 9Travel to multiple Labcorp sites as scheduled
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 22+ years of phlebotomy experience
- 35+ years preferred for senior consideration
- 4Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency if lacking work experience
- 5Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 6Must be 21+ years old
- 7Pass a standardized color blindness test
- 8Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 9Flexibility for overtime and rotating Saturdays
