What You'll Do23
- 1Supports the Mission and Vision of the YMCA and builds community
- 2Builds a personal training clientele including one-on-one and small group sessions
- 3Demonstrates clear exercise instructions with proper form
- 4Develops positive relationships and offers motivational support
- 5Participates in Trainer Education Lectures for members
- 6Tracks client progress and follows up timely
- 7Meets monthly personal training session goals set by the Health and Wellness Director
- 8Actively promotes personal training services through outreach and events
- 9Operates equipment properly and reports issues
- 10Works shifts as support staff when needed
- 11Follows all YMCA policies and procedures
- 12Completes incident and accident reports as required
- 13Attends scheduled trainings and meetings
- 14Participates in YMCA-sponsored professional development
- 15Creates and monitors safe exercise programs tailored to member goals
- 16Identifies member potential and limitations
- 17Sells the value of personal training to members
- 18Uses member management software to track clients and communicate effectively
- 19Fosters a welcoming inclusive environment for all backgrounds
- 20Demonstrates reliability flexibility and adaptability
- 21Shows mature judgment and sound decision-making
- 22Possesses excellent communication and observational skills
- 23Remains safety conscious and reacts calmly in emergencies
Requirements15
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 22-4 year degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
- 3Nationally accredited certification (preferred: NSCA ACSM NASM)
- 4CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- 5Enthusiastic passionate friendly and ambitious personality
- 6Ability to perform fitness assessments and teach progressive programs
- 7Skill to instruct and observe participants using proper techniques
- 8Capacity to create and monitor safe exercise programs recognizing member limitations
- 9Experience selling personal training value to members
- 10Proficiency with member management software for tracking and communication
- 11Commitment to creating a welcoming inclusive environment
- 12Reliable dependable flexible and adaptable
- 13Mature judgment and sound decision-making
