Overview

We seek a skilled and personable Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our positive patient-centered dental team. Hygienists on our team are highly skilled professionals that do critical work. They are treated with kindness and respect. Our office has grown, so we need another team member. This position offers schedule flexibility: Thursday 12:00 to 6:00 with no lunch break. Friday 8:00 to 2:00 usually three Fridays per month. Either Tuesday or Wednesday with flexible hours. What You'll Do11

  • 1Perform professional dental cleanings including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • 2Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs medical history review and dental examinations
  • 3Take photos and dental radiographs using dental imaging equipment ensuring proper technique and patient comfort
  • 4Educate patients on oral hygiene practices preventive care and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health
  • 5Maintain accurate detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records systems such as Dentrix
  • 6Follow infection prevention protocols including aseptic technique and infection control measures to ensure safety
  • 7Utilize dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management
  • 8Apply strong knowledge of dental terminology anatomy medical terminology and dental equipment operation
  • 9Demonstrate excellent communication skills for client interaction patient education and team collaboration
  • 10Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • 11Manage sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques for infection prevention

Requirements7

  • 1Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification
  • 2Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred
  • 3Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management
  • 4Strong knowledge of dental terminology anatomy medical terminology and dental equipment operation
  • 5Excellent communication skills for client interaction patient education and team collaboration
  • 6Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
  • 7Experience with infection prevention management including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
