Online Teacher, Pre-AP English 2
Overview
You will own the live online classroom for Pre-AP English 2, teaching motivated students from 65 countries. You will build close-reading, analytical writing, and discussion skills that prepare students for the rigors of AP English. You will collaborate with a global team at Crimson Global Academy, using Canvas and other digital tools to deliver real-time instruction. Your work directly shapes the next generation of thinkers.
What You'll Do7
- 1Plan and deliver engaging live lessons in Pre-AP English 2, tailoring content to a diverse international student body.
- 2Use Canvas to organize assignments, assessments, and course materials for easy student access.
- 3Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching methods to ensure strong outcomes.
- 4Communicate clear course schedules, detailing lesson content and assessment timelines to students and parents.
- 5Lead interactive live sessions, leveraging CGA's online learning resources and technology.
- 6Design and administer assessments, and give constructive feedback that encourages student growth.
- 7Develop high-quality educational materials, including tests and exams, for the CGA resource library.
Requirements6
- 15+ years teaching high school (Grades 9-12) in a school setting, with English or related field Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 2Exceptional communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and the CGA team.
- 3Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for technology-enabled education.
- 4Familiarity with the Pre-AP framework and the Advanced Placement (College Board) pathway.
- 5Preferred: a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, teaching degree, or license).
- 6Preferred: previous online teaching experience.
