What You'll Do10
- 1Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments including dietary history lifestyle medical history and anthropometric measurements
- 2Develop individualized medical nutrition therapy plans based on diagnoses goals and cultural preferences
- 3Provide nutrition counseling for chronic conditions such as diabetes hypertension heart disease obesity gastrointestinal disorders food allergies and eating disorders
- 4Educate patients and families on healthy eating habits portion control label reading meal planning and grocery shopping strategies
- 5Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits adjust nutrition plans and document outcomes in electronic health records
- 6Collaborate with physicians nurse practitioners and other specialists for integrated whole-person care
- 7Stay current with evidence-based nutrition research dietary guidelines and best practices through continuing education
- 8Maintain accurate clinical documentation compliant with regulatory and ethical standards
- 9Participate in team meetings case consultations and quality improvement initiatives
- 10Provide group nutrition classes or workshops as needed
Requirements6
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bilingual Spanish proficiency required
- 3New York State license as Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian/Dietitian RD/RDN
- 4Open to new graduates
- 5Proficient in conducting nutritional assessments developing meal plans utilizing electronic health records and providing medical nutrition therapy
- 6Strong communication interpersonal skills empathy cultural competence active listening patience and collaborative ability
