What You'll Do10

  • 1Build patient preparation workflows and perform IV injections of radionuclides ensuring safety and protocol adherence
  • 2Design and execute scans according to approved protocols while considering patient history and cooperation
  • 3Lead quality control activities to meet radiation safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • 4Own documentation of radiopharmaceutical usage and procedure records for accurate audits
  • 5Scale departmental procedures by developing policies with the Radiation Safety Officer and regulatory agencies
  • 6Debug equipment issues and coordinate timely maintenance or replacement to minimize downtime
  • 7Drive in-service training for on-call technicians and support staff
  • 8Provide compassionate patient care and maintain professional communication with patients and families
  • 9Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work environment
  • 10Contribute to departmental quality assurance and infection control initiatives

Requirements10

  • 1Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
  • 2NJ state nuclear medicine technologist license required
  • 3AART certification required
  • 4BLS required
  • 5Minimum 3 years experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • 6CT/SPECT/PET additional certification preferred
  • 7Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 8Proficiency in English and good interpersonal skills
  • 9Ability to perform required clerical duties to maintain patient records
  • 10Fulfills continuing education requirements per regulatory agencies
