Overview
Dashing Diva seeks a detail-oriented Nail Technician to join our Product Development team in New York. You will create and organize nail sample boards for retail, events, and product development, applying gel nails and nail stickers to tips with precision. Working closely with product designers, you will turn project requirements into polished, presentation-ready samples. This role puts your hands-on nail expertise at the center of product innovation, with direct reporting to the Product Development Manager.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build and organize nail sample boards for ongoing product development, retail, and event projects, ensuring each board meets exact quality standards.
- 2Apply nail stickers, gel nails, and basic polish to nail tips, preparing samples that showcase design intent.
- 3Arrange nail tips and maintain sample boards, tracking progress to meet project deadlines.
- 4Assist in laying out and designing artwork on nail tips, using nail stickers to bring creative concepts to life.
- 5Collaborate with product designers and team members, sharing feedback to align samples with project goals.
- 6Handle additional duties assigned by the Product Development Manager to support team priorities.
Requirements8
- 11+ year hands-on experience with nail products, including polish types and nail stickers.
- 21+ year experience applying gel nails and basic polish to nail tips.
- 31+ year experience creating nail sample boards for product development or retail displays.
- 4Strong eye for design and nail art trends, with a portfolio of sample work preferred.
- 5Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precision work.
- 6Effective communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams in real-time.
- 7Proven time management, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- 8Knowledge of cosmetology techniques and safety standards for nail products.
