Overview
You will own mobile repair and maintenance for heavy-duty trucks, forklifts, and industrial equipment across Las Vegas. You diagnose and fix diesel, gas, and electric systems on-site, keeping fleets and material handling operations running. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment covering gas, diesel, and electric powertrains.
- 2Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and wiring diagrams to resolve root causes.
- 3Conduct inspections and tests to catch failures before they escalate, reducing downtime for customers.
- 4Respond to service calls for both shop and field repairs, prioritizing urgent fleet needs.
- 5Document each job with parts used, time spent, and repair steps in the service records.
- 6Collaborate with the team to share fixes and improve equipment reliability across the fleet.
- 7Apply OSHA safety standards and keep a clean, organized workspace in the truck and shop.
- 8Stay current on material handling technology and forklift systems through ongoing training.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a diesel mechanic, forklift mechanic, or heavy equipment technician.
- 2Own hand tools ready for field and shop use.
- 3Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in diesel and electric equipment.
- 4Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- 5Independent problem-solving with solid attention to detail and organization.
- 6Pass background and drug screening; hold a valid driver's license with a clean record.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certification in mechanics preferred.
- 8Preferred: OEM certifications (Toyota, Hyster, Crown, Cummins, Detroit) or ASE certification.
