Mission Analysis Engineer Senior Millennium Space Systems
Overview
Lead modeling simulation architecture and mission data processing for national security space. Own end-to-end development of CONOPS DRMs and EO/IR algorithms. Drive innovation in satellite constellation performance prediction and system integration. Shape mission success through technical authority and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and maintain simulations for large satellite constellations to assess effectiveness against mission requirements
- 2Own the Electro-Optical/Infrared image processing algorithms chain from photon to Warfighter
- 3Develop novel algorithms models and data processing schemes for MW/MT RPO and SDA systems
- 4Architect Concepts of Operation Design Reference Mission and their associated simulations
- 5Collaborate with software and firmware teams to develop platforms for simulation deployment
- 6Create models for space vehicle payloads to use in system trades and performance predictions
- 7Design and deploy image processing inertial tracking state estimation and optimal control algorithms
- 8Provide tools and modeling platforms for validating system performance during on-orbit mission operations
- 9Obtain U.S. Security Clearance with Top Secret designation post-start
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree and 14 or more years' related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 27 or more years' experience in modeling and simulation of complex aerospace systems using Matlab Simulink or C++
- 3Level 6: 20 or more years' related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 4Experience with EO/IR optical systems analysis and image processing algorithms
- 5Experience with government furnished image models like ASSET PRA Toolkit or AFSIM
- 6Knowledge of orbital mechanics and kinematic state estimation
- 7Experience with satellite space-to-space communication networks
- 8Experience with RPO or NMC orbits and associated maneuver planning
- 9Technical leadership including requirements V&V delegation and management of technical tasks
- 10Responsible engineering authority experience and cost account management
- 11Active TS/SCI clearance
