
Microsoft Fabric Technical Lead - Dallas TX
Overview
You own the technical vision and delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions for enterprise clients. You design, implement, and migrate data and analytics workloads onto Fabric, setting standards for Data Engineering, Data Science, and BI. You lead a team of engineers and collaborate with architects to drive adoption. What You'll Do10
- 1Design and implement end-to-end Microsoft Fabric data and analytics solutions, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Notebooks.
- 2Lead migration of legacy data platforms, ETL tools, and warehouses to Microsoft Fabric, using Data Pipelines and Dataflows.
- 3Define scalable implementation patterns and best practices for Fabric adoption, including Medallion Architecture and Shortcuts.
- 4Architect OneLake solutions and integrate with Azure Data Lake and Dataverse.
- 5Build and optimize T-SQL models for Direct Lake and Power BI integration.
- 6Drive CI/CD for Fabric artifacts using Git and Azure DevOps.
- 7Set data governance standards with Microsoft Purview and Fabric workspaces.
- 8Coach engineers on Python and Spark for data transformation within Fabric.
- 9Own the technical roadmap for Fabric into production, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
- 10Collaborate with solution architects to align Fabric designs with enterprise architecture.
Requirements9
- 17+ years in data engineering or data architecture roles, with 3+ years on Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
- 2Deep expertise in Azure services: Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks.
- 3Strong Python and PySpark skills for data processing in Fabric.
- 4Proficiency in T-SQL for building Fabric warehouses and Direct Lake models.
- 52+ years leading migration projects from Teradata, Oracle, or SAP BW to cloud.
- 6Hands-on with DevOps pipelines for Fabric and Power BI deployment.
- 7Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst.
- 8Bachelor’s in computer science or related field.
- 9Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
