Member of Technical Staff Bayesian Statistics
Overview
You will own Bayesian method design for clinical AI at Ataraxis, impacting patient treatment decisions globally. You will join a flat team of engineers and scientists building with Python, PyTorch, and Gaussian processes. Your work will translate research into clinical tools used at top institutions, with leadership from AI pioneer Yann LeCun. This role offers ownership of novel Bayesian methods across causality and survival analysis, backed by $24M in funding.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design novel Bayesian statistics methods for clinical outcome prediction and treatment response.
- 2Translate machine learning papers into production-ready code with Python and PyTorch.
- 3Build robust model evaluation frameworks for multi-modal clinical data.
- 4Co-author research papers and abstracts for top-tier conferences and journals.
- 5Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to ship clinical tools.
- 6Co-mentor junior team members and guide their research and development.
Requirements7
- 1PhD degree in statistics or machine learning.
- 2Excellent knowledge of Bayesian statistics, including Gaussian processes and Bayesian clinical trial design.
- 3Publications in A* conferences (ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, CVPR) or top-tier statistics journals.
- 4Excellent understanding of core machine learning concepts and foundations of statistics, linear algebra, and probability.
- 5Excellent skills in Python and PyTorch.
- 6Experience applying Bayesian statistics to uncertainty quantification in deep learning and model explainability.
- 7Experience in deep learning, with bonus for self-supervised learning, survival analysis, multi-modal learning, domain adaptation, causal inference, model interpretability, and computational pathology.
