Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - School Based
Overview
Own daily health office operations for an elementary school near Stillwater, MN, serving 400+ students. Deliver direct care, manage medication administration, and coordinate with staff and families during the 2026-2027 academic year. The role requires an active Minnesota LPN license and CPR certification, with a preference for school or pediatric nursing experience. You'll work 9:00am–3:45pm, Monday–Friday, in a supportive school environment focused on student success.
What You'll Do8
- 1Oversee daily health office operations, delivering direct care to students with acute or chronic health needs.
- 2Administer medications and perform routine health procedures per established protocols, including emergency response.
- 3Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and school policies.
- 4Collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and families to ensure continuity of student care.
- 5Promote a safe, inclusive, and healthy school environment for all students.
- 6Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
- 7Provide health education and support to students and staff on wellness topics.
- 8Track and manage immunization records and health screenings for the school population.
Requirements6
- 1Active Minnesota LPN license required.
- 2CPR certification current and maintained.
- 31+ years experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
- 4Strong communication and organization skills.
- 5Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- 6Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
