Overview
As License Owner, you will launch and scale Stranger Soccer in Minneapolis, building the local football community from the ground up. You will own the full operation, from securing venues and managing staff to driving player growth through the Stranger Soccer app. Supported by the Singapore HQ, you will lead a lean team of officials and coordinators, with full P&L responsibility. This role is built for a self-starter who thrives on ownership, not a traditional management position.
What You'll Do6
- 1Launch Stranger Soccer in Minneapolis, securing 3-5 venues and establishing a reliable game schedule within the first 90 days
- 2Build and manage a local team, recruiting and training staff and Official Hosts to deliver consistent game experiences
- 3Secure suitable football venues, negotiating terms and ensuring quality field conditions for all games
- 4Drive marketing and customer acquisition using digital channels and local partnerships to grow the player community
- 5Oversee game operations, managing logistics, player check-in, and real-time issue resolution via the Stranger Soccer app
- 6Deliver an outstanding player experience, monitoring game quality and player feedback to drive retention and referrals
Requirements5
- 13+ years in management, operations, or customer service, with proven ability to manage teams and budgets
- 22+ years of involvement in the local football community, playing, coaching, or organizing games
- 3Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building or launching a business or initiative
- 4Demonstrated ability to take ownership and grow a brand locally, with a results-oriented approach
- 5High resilience and drive, comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced startup environment
