Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack Tech Lead
Overview
Full Stack Tech Lead responsible for delivering modern full-stack capabilities including user-facing applications APIs microservices integration services and platform modernization within a regulated financial services environment. Lead multiple agile squads providing technical direction architectural guidance and mentorship.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead multiple agile squads delivering end-to-end full-stack solutions using Java Spring Boot microservices REST APIs and modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React
- 2Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across the technology stack
- 3Drive solution design code quality scalability security and operational readiness
- 4Partner with product owners architects and stakeholders to align priorities and manage dependencies
- 5Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS including microservices APIs and supporting infrastructure
- 6Establish and enforce engineering standards for scalable design automated testing CI/CD peer reviews and production readiness
- 7Create proofs of concept and prototypes including AI-assisted engineering practices
- 8Oversee production support incident response root-cause analysis and continuous reliability improvements
- 9Mentor and develop engineers support hiring and build high-performing full-stack teams
- 10Foster a culture of ownership technical excellence and continuous improvement
- 11Utilize containerization event-driven architectures and advanced AWS services
Requirements13
- 110+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack delivery background
- 2At least 2+ years of technical leadership or people leadership experience
- 3Hands-on expertise with Java Spring Boot Microservices architecture REST APIs AWS Angular or React SQL relational databases
- 4CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- 5Mandatory financial services industry experience
- 6Strong experience establishing engineering standards code quality practices and production readiness
- 7Ability to provide clear technical direction evaluate design trade-offs and guide implementation decisions
- 8Experience with Agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration
- 9Some hands-on use of AI tools in software engineering practices
- 10Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 11Mortgage industry experience strongly preferred
- 12Experience leading platform modernization or large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- 13Familiarity with containerization event-driven architectures or advanced AWS services

$171 - $177k per year
