Lead IT QA Analyst, Test Automation & AWS
Overview
You own QA strategy and execution across multiple business lines, platforms, and cloud environments at Venerable. You lead and mentor a team of QA peers and offshore testers, ensuring quality deliverables align with release timelines. You translate complex requirements into effective test plans and drive adoption of automation frameworks. Your expertise in Python and AWS sets you apart as a senior consultant to internal IT and business groups.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead QA efforts for large-scale projects, defining test strategies and coordinating with offshore teams to meet release deadlines.
- 2Coach and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on testing best practices and career growth.
- 3Develop and refine testing processes, including environment assessments and requirements translation, to resolve complex quality issues.
- 4Drive automation initiatives by building and maintaining Python-based test frameworks and advancing the automation roadmap.
- 5Conduct defect triage meetings and manage resolution to keep projects on track and ensure product quality.
- 6Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align test deliverables with technical requirements and UAT support.
- 7Utilize AWS cloud services to design and execute scalable test environments and integrations.
- 8Promote adherence to SDLC best practices and organizational policies across all QA activities.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 25+ years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience, with demonstrated leadership and mentorship.
- 3Hands-on experience preparing and presenting test strategies to varied audiences, including executives.
- 4Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies, with strong SQL scripting skills.
- 5Expertise in building Behavior Driven Testing frameworks and defining automation roadmaps.
- 6Experience testing in cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure.
- 7Proven track record driving quality metrics management, defect triage, and UAT coordination.
- 8Strong ability to collaborate with offshore teams and advise IT on efficiency and standards improvement.
