Junior Software Engineer - AI Infrastructure
Overview
3+ years building AI tools with Python and LLMs. You will own the development and maintenance of AI infrastructure for a federal intel team, ensuring high availability and reliability. Collaborate with a small team to turn loosely defined problems into customer-ready solutions. This role offers exposure to Kubernetes, AWS, and OpenWebUI while supporting mission-critical AI applications.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop AI tools and applications for the workforce, using Python and LLMs.
- 2Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security of AI tools.
- 3Modify FOSS to fit customer use cases, including OpenWebUI.
- 4Conduct requirements elicitation with customers and deliver solutions.
- 5Maintain existing customer-facing infrastructure and applications.
- 6Debug and resolve issues in production using SRE best practices.
- 7Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 8Automate deployment pipelines using Argo CD or other CI/CD frameworks.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in software engineering, with a B.S. in a technical discipline or 4+ years in lieu of a degree.
- 2Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language.
- 3Experience using LLMs as part of code solutions.
- 4Familiarity with UI/UX principles.
- 5TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- 6Desired: experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
- 7Desired: experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
- 8Desired: familiarity with Argo CD or CI/CD frameworks.
- 9Desired: experience in SRE and production support.
- 10Desired: experience with Docker and containerization.
