Overview
You own the nightly cleaning cycle for a West Farm Youth Center facility, keeping 5,000+ square feet of offices, restrooms, and common areas spotless. What You'll Do8
- 1Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces across assigned zones, including offices, hallways, and entryways.
- 2Sanitize restrooms and replenish paper towels, soap, and toilet paper to maintain hygiene standards.
- 3Empty trash and recycling bins, replacing liners and disposing of waste per OSHA guidelines.
- 4Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions using squeegees and glass cleaner for streak-free results.
- 5Maintain and store cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and industrial vacuums, ensuring they are ready for next shift.
- 6Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor within the first hour of discovery.
- 7Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces, moving tables and chairs as needed.
- 8Follow all safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment to prevent accidents.
Requirements7
- 11-2 years of professional cleaning experience in janitorial or custodial roles.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3Hands-on experience with commercial vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and restroom disinfectants.
- 4Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for chemical handling and waste disposal.
- 5Ability to work independently on a night shift from 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM to midnight or 1:30 AM.
- 6Strong attention to detail for spotting dirt, stains, or hazards in high-traffic areas.
