Overview
You will own inventory accuracy and on-shelf availability across the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. What You'll Do10
- 1Execute end-to-end inventory processes including receiving, counting, pricing, and returns for front end and pharmacy, using AS400 and Retail Pro to ensure accurate on-hand balances.
- 2Scan in all deliveries, including common carrier and DSD shipments, while the vendor is present, and correct order discrepancies by opening tickets.
- 3Verify pharmacy shipments are posted correctly, including ABC orders, secondary vendors, and flu/dropship orders, performing tote audits and reporting shortages.
- 4Lead the On-Shelf Availability process for planogrammed departments, executing disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns before expiration.
- 5Manage pharmacy inventory activities under pharmacist supervision, including recalls, returns, and smart counts, ensuring compliance with DEA regulations.
- 6Execute pricing activities, including daily price changes, markdowns, and markdown deletes, ensuring accurate signage and regulatory pricing.
- 7Maintain accurate inventory counts for all departments, including stockroom and overstock locations, and update on-hand quantities for pull and quarantine items.
- 8Prepare for and support physical inventory day, including auditing the third-party team and ensuring the sales floor, stockroom, and pharmacy are ready.
- 9Handle package delivery functions, including scanning, returns, and execution of the Pickup Program, while coaching team members on proper procedures.
- 10When serving as leader on duty, resolve customer issues, register sales on the POS system, and complete refunds, voids, and cash drops.
Requirements9
- 1Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal) or one year of retail experience (external).
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- 4Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- 5Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage execution.
- 6Experience identifying operational issues and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- 7Prefer previous experience as shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.
- 8Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
- 9Must obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by state law, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification.
