What You'll Do9
- 1Perform interventional procedures using fluoroscopy and x-ray guidance, ensuring accurate imaging and patient comfort.
- 2Operate and maintain film processing equipment, performing quality assurance checks on imaging systems.
- 3Monitor patient vital signs and response during procedures, adjusting positioning and equipment as needed.
- 4Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff to plan and execute interventional cases.
- 5Document procedure details and imaging results in EPIC or equivalent electronic health record.
- 6Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and state regulations.
- 7Assist in inventory management of interventional supplies and contrast media.
- 8Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with biomedical engineering for repairs.
- 9Educate patients on procedure steps and post-procedure care instructions.
Requirements6
- 12+ years of recent IR Tech experience with verifiable references.
- 2Active ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
- 3Graduate of an AMA approved accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- 4Current BLS certification.
- 5State of Georgia radiologic technologist license or eligibility.
- 6Ability to work a 4x10 schedule with rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
