Impound Specialist I - Exeter Finance (Remote)
Overview
You will own the end-to-end impound process for vehicle accounts, ensuring compliance and timely resolution. You will review accounts, calculate recovery justifications, and coordinate with customers, recovery agents, impound facilities, and police departments. This role sits within a servicing center team, using Microsoft Office Suite to track and document all transactions. You will handle routine impound activity and escalate complex disputes, making a direct impact on operational efficiency.
What You'll Do7
- 1Review assigned impound accounts to ensure they follow company policies and state and local regulations.
- 2Process end-to-end impound functions, including intake, review, and closure, within established SLAs and quality standards.
- 3Handle inbound and outbound impound calls and correspondence, meeting call-handling requirements.
- 4Document all impound-related transactions and account activity accurately for audit and reference.
- 5Collaborate with customers, recovery agents, impound facilities, and police departments to exchange required information.
- 6Support other departments and impound vendors with routine requests and information needs.
- 7Escalate disputes, complex issues, and non-standard scenarios to senior specialists or leadership.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 21 year of experience in a servicing center environment.
- 3Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- 4Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Impound process experience preferred; general knowledge of collections policies and FDCPA.
- 6Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- 7Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
