HVAC Project Manager - Kelso Building Services
Overview
Kelso Building Services seeks an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves managing budgets schedules and teams to deliver high-quality workmanship while ensuring safety compliance and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do16
- 1Plan and direct all phases of commercial HVAC construction projects to ensure timely completion within budget and compliance with quality standards
- 2Develop and maintain project schedules budgets manpower plans and procurement timelines
- 3Monitor financial performance including job cost tracking forecasting billing and budget management
- 4Manage RFIs submittals change orders purchase orders payment applications RFPs RFQs claims and project correspondence
- 5Serve as primary point of contact for owners general contractors engineers architects vendors and subcontractors
- 6Coordinate project activities with operations estimating and field leadership teams to ensure staffing equipment and material availability
- 7Lead project meetings and provide detailed progress updates to internal and external stakeholders
- 8Review mechanical drawings specifications contracts and documents for accuracy constructability and compliance
- 9Identify project risks resolve conflicts and develop solutions to maintain project objectives
- 10Supervise project coordinators foremen and field personnel
- 11Manage subcontractor performance and enforce compliance with project requirements
- 12Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations company safety policies and customer site requirements
- 13Monitor quality control processes to guarantee HVAC systems meet specifications and industry standards
- 14Support project closeout activities including turnover documentation punch lists warranties and final billing
- 15Maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for future work and business growth
- 16Respond quickly to changing project needs and priorities
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 3 years of HVAC Project Management experience
- 2Strong understanding of HVAC systems including sheet metal mechanical piping plumbing coordination building automation systems equipment installation and startup
- 3Proven ability to manage multiple HVAC construction projects simultaneously
- 4Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Mechanical Engineering Construction Engineering or related field
- 5OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- 6PMP Certification is a plus
- 7Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 8Experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale ground-up projects
- 9Demonstrated success managing project budgets schedules contract administration and client relationships
- 10Excellent leadership communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
