Overview
You will maintain cleanliness and order in a hospital setting, directly supporting patient comfort and safety at Texas Health HEB. Our Environmental Services team of 30,000 members operates across 1,300 healthcare accounts. You will report to a shift supervisor and coordinate with nursing staff. This role offers full-time hours with rotating weekends and a clear path for growth within Crothall Healthcare.
What You'll Do8
- 1Clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and corridors to hospital standards.
- 2Strip and make beds with fresh linens in patient rooms.
- 3Disinfect surfaces and fixtures with EPA-approved chemicals.
- 4Empty and sanitize trash containers, disposing of waste per OSHA guidelines.
- 5Respond to spill calls and urgent housekeeping requests within 15 minutes.
- 6Operate buffers and autoscrubbers on hard floors.
- 7Restock supplies like paper products and soap in patient rooms.
- 8Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the facilities team.
Requirements7
- 1No prior experience required; Crothall provides paid training.
- 2Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per shift.
- 3Lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., linens, trash bags).
- 4Work a set schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, rotating weekends.
- 5Pass a background check and drug screening.
- 6Communicate basic requests in English.
- 7Follow infection control and safety protocols.
