You will own the golf department experience at a DICK'S Sporting Goods store, helping athletes of all abilities find the right equipment and elevate their game. You'll join a team of product experts and customer-focused staff who share your passion for sport. What You'll Do8
- 1Greet every athlete as they enter the golf section, assess their needs, and guide them to the right clubs, balls, and accessories.
- 2Demonstrate product features for drivers, irons, putters, and golf balls, using Launch Monitor and Golf Simulator to personalize fittings.
- 3Keep the golf shop floor stocked, organized, and visually appealing, ensuring our latest TaylorMade, Callaway, and Titleist gear is front and center.
- 4Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale, handling cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- 5Answer product questions about shafts, grips, and club fitting, sharing your knowledge to build trust and repeat visits.
- 6Collaborate with the store team to hit daily sales targets and drive seasonal promotions like the Spring Golf Sale.
- 7Educate athletes on our ScoreCard rewards program and link their purchases to their player profile for future recommendations.
- 8Handle returns and exchanges with a smile, turning any issue into a chance to strengthen the relationship.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ year of retail or customer service experience, ideally in golf or sporting goods.
- 3Strong verbal communication skills to explain technical specs to non-experts.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended shifts.
- 5Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
- 6Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during peak golf season.
- 7Passion for golf with working knowledge of clubs, balls, and accessories.
- 8Comfort with using a computer and mobile device for point-of-sale and product lookup.
