Go & Python Developer, Cloud Microservices & gRPC
Overview
You will own the Go-based cloud microservices and API shim at CompNova, driving concurrency and gRPC performance for a 6-month onsite contract in Atlanta. You will debug and scale agent-to-cloud communication, integrate with Redfish events via Python, and shape the tenant portal using React, TypeScript, and Vite. This role stands out because you will work across the full stack, from low-level BMC tooling to modern frontend, in a critical infrastructure environment. Go is your primary weapon, with secondary Python and JavaScript/TypeScript skills in play daily.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and build new Go microservices with robust goroutine and channel patterns, handling high-concurrency agent traffic.
- 2Implement and debug gRPC/Protobuf interfaces for the agent-cloud shim, ensuring low-latency and fault tolerance.
- 3Build and maintain Redfish event subscribers and BMC tooling using Python to bridge hardware telemetry.
- 4Develop and enhance the tenant portal using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Vite, delivering responsive UI components.
- 5Write and execute k6 load tests to validate system performance under stress, tuning for scalability.
- 6Debug production issues across the stack, from Go services to frontend, and ship fixes within the first 90 days.
- 7Collaborate with hardware and cloud teams to refine API contracts and event flows.
- 8Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to deployment in an agile environment.
Requirements8
- 15+ years writing production Go with strong concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, context).
- 23+ years building gRPC APIs and Protobuf schemas.
- 32+ years with Python for scripting and tooling (Redfish, BMC).
- 42+ years with JavaScript/TypeScript and React (plus Vite and Tailwind).
- 5Experience with k6 load testing or similar performance tools.
- 6Familiarity with BMC or Redfish standards in a hardware/cloud context.
- 7Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent work experience.
- 8Legal authorization to work in the US and onsite availability in Atlanta from day one.
