Food Runner, Nando's PERi-PERi
Overview
As a Food Runner at Nando's PERi-PERi, you own the delivery of every plate from kitchen to guest, ensuring each order reaches the right table with speed and accuracy in our 1032 South Loop location. You'll work alongside a tight-knit team of servers and kitchen staff, covering multiple tables and side duties in a high-energy dining environment. This role offers a direct path into restaurant service, with PTO, 401k, and full training in food handling and sanitation provided from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Transport food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables, announcing each dish to guests with a smile
- 2Set, reset, and clean tables continuously throughout your shift, assuming ownership of your assigned station
- 3Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to exceed guest expectations and maintain the Nando's experience
- 4Manage your side duties efficiently, including stocking, wiping, and restocking as needed
- 5Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling procedures
- 6Adapt to high-volume service, communicating clearly with the team to ensure orders are accurate and timely
- 7Maintain a clean and organized work environment, from the pass to the dining floor
- 8Support team members during peak hours, jumping in to help with running food or resetting tables

- 8Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
- 9Hand-eye coordination for carrying plates and trays
- 10Physical agility to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and lift overhead
