Fitness Coach, Group Training & Orangetheory
Overview
You will lead up to 36 members through Orangetheory branded workouts, blending cardio, strength, and power training. You will own the energy and safety of each session, delivering real-time corrections and modifications. You will work with a studio team of Coaches and report to the Studio Manager or Head Coach. This role offers a dynamic blend of coaching, member motivation, and studio representation. What You'll Do8
- 1Lead high-energy Orangetheory group workouts for up to 36 participants, executing the branded class template with precision and enthusiasm.
- 2Coach members through dynamic strength and cardio intervals, using heart rate technology to guide effort zones and maximize results.
- 3Provide real-time exercise corrections and modifications to ensure safety and accommodate all fitness levels, from beginners to athletes.
- 4Build class attendance and member retention by fostering personal connections, celebrating milestones, and delivering motivational support.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized fitness floor, arranging equipment like dumbbells, TRX, and medicine balls before and after each session.
- 6Represent Orangetheory at internal and external marketing events, showcasing the brand's unique fitness experience.
- 7Stay current with Orangetheory programming and attend monthly team meetings, webinars, and continuing education sessions.
- 8Track member performance metrics using the Orangetheory app and provide follow-up feedback to support their fitness journey.
Requirements10
- 1Current nationally accredited fitness certification from NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, NFPT, or NPTI.
- 2Current CPR/AED certification.
- 31+ years of experience in personal training or group fitness instruction, preferred.
- 4Intermediate knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and functional movement.
- 5Ability to lead, motivate, and adapt exercises in real time for varied fitness levels.
- 6Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field, preferred.
- 7Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 8Physically capable of demonstrating all exercises and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- 9Ability to remain standing and vocal for the duration of the 60-minute workout.
- 10Frequently bend, twist, and move equipment such as dumbbells, TRX, medicine balls, and Bosu balls.
Salary Insight
$52 - $156k per year
