What You'll Do8
- 1Assemble and install fireplaces per manufacturer specs, from framing to finish
- 2Conduct on-site inspections to map out installation steps and catch structural issues
- 3Cut and shape sheet metal for fireboxes, flues, and trim using hand tools and power tools
- 4Install roof flashing around chimney penetrations, sealing against weather
- 5Coordinate with general contractors and homeowners to keep job sites on schedule
- 6Debug fitting issues on the fly, adjusting components without compromising safety
- 7Drive a company vehicle to job sites across Columbus, loading and securing equipment
- 8Document each install with photos and notes for the project file
Requirements7
- 11+ year residential construction experience, with hand tools and power tools
- 2Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to Columbus, OH 43229
- 3Ability to relocate to Columbus, OH 43229 before starting work (required)
- 4Comfortable working at heights and on ladders for roof and chimney access
- 5Basic sheet metal fabrication skills, including cutting and bending
- 6Familiarity with roof flashing installation and waterproofing methods
- 7Read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings accurately
