What You'll Do9
- 1Service and repair commercial sprinkler systems, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components
- 2Install new systems, retrofits, tenant improvements, and residential dwellings per blueprints and codes
- 3Install dry-pipe and pre-action systems, plus underground fire lines and related apparatuses
- 4Read and interpret blueprints, then run new projects to completion on time and correctly
- 5Install sprinkler mains and line piping using Schedule 40 and Schedule 10 black and galvanized pipe, CPVC, and C-900 ductile iron per specifications
- 6Install valves, devices, and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry-pipe valves, pre-action valves, and backflow prevention devices
- 7Install sprinkler heads for various applications per blueprint and code, ensuring coverage and clearance
- 8Follow OSHA and company safety standards, using pipe threaders, groovers, and power tools effectively
- 9Adhere to NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, and 25 standards across all work
Requirements10
- 13+ years of experience as a fire sprinkler fitter or technician
- 2Hold a valid CO Sprinkler Fitter Card
- 3Proficient with steel pipe, CPVC, C-900, and ductile iron installation methods
- 4Experienced with wet, dry, deluge, pre-action, and fire pump systems
- 5Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply NFPA codes
- 6Capable of working at heights up to 40 feet on ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
- 7Ability to work in confined spaces like ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings
- 8Physically fit to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
- 9Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment background check
- 10High school diploma or equivalent; flexible to work weekends if needed
