Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer Boeing
Overview
Lead Supplier Quality initiatives across multiple locations ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. Drive quality integration into proposal processes and product designs. Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean methodologies applied to enhance supplier performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop certification plans and validate manufacturing readiness.
What You'll Do25
- 1Represent Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
- 2Provide Quality interpretation of requirements and develop quality metrics design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual company and regulatory requirements
- 3Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
- 4Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
- 5Assist in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances
- 6Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- 7Perform analysis tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
- 8Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances
- 9Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
- 10Apply advanced Supplier Quality prevention tools including APQP and Lean and Six Sigma
- 11Lead cross-functional Requirements Reviews and Capability Assessments at BDS suppliers
- 12Assist with the evaluation of new technology and manufacturing process deployment readiness at suppliers
- 13Perform special capability approvals to ensure technical readiness capability and supplier process controls are established
- 14Work under general direction
- 15Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology includes manufacturing engineering technology chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- 163+ years of experience leading or managing projects and or teams
- 173+ years of experience working in Quality Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
- 183+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action RCCA and failure analysis
- 19Experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences
- 20Collecting organizing synthesizing and analyzing data then summarizing findings developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
- 21Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer CQE Certifications
- 22Experience working with AS9100 and or similar QMS standard
- 23Travel up to 50 percent of the time within region to support suppliers traveling within New Jersey New York and Pennsylvania and possibly outside region to support other suppliers
- 24Satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- 25Pass drug free workplace testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met

- 43+ years experience with root cause analysis and corrective action RCCA and failure analysis
- 55+ years in manufacturing quality assurance or supplier quality related roles
