Environmental Coordinator II Sanitation Dallas
Overview
The Environmental Coordinator II leads environmental training outreach and compliance for the City of Dallas. This role owns programs that educate city departments and the public on sustainability while collaborating with internal and external partners. Success is measured by improved compliance and community engagement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform environmental audits and develop corrective action plans
- 2Support inspections to ensure adherence to environmental regulations
- 3Write inspection reports and track resolution progress
- 4Ensure contractor compliance and conduct encroachment checks
- 5Develop outreach programs on stormwater waste and air quality
- 6Handle equipment calibration and respond to spills
- 7Draft informational materials and manage social media content
- 8Review agency corrections and perform compliance calculations
- 9Analyze operational changes and recommend improvements
- 10Coordinate continuous improvement projects within the Environmental Management System
- 11Manage additional assignments as needed
Requirements12
- 1Advanced knowledge of Stormwater Zero Waste Environmental Due Diligence Sustainability Conservation Concepts and EMS
- 2Familiarity with Federal and State rules and standards for environmental management
- 3Project management skills and experience with permitting specifications
- 4Ability to manage volunteers citizens and events
- 5Experience interacting with TCEQ and other external agencies
- 6Proficiency in website and social media platform management
- 7Skills in data management MS Office applications and public outreach
- 8Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- 9Establishing effective working relationships
- 10Bachelor's degree in architecture engineering geoscience environmental or natural science
- 11Three years experience coordinating with environmental agencies and managing projects
- 12Valid driver's license and appropriate water quality certifications
