Overview
Own the nightly trash and recycling collection for local apartment communities, working part-time with a consistent evening schedule and no weekend shifts. You will use your open-bed pickup truck or tow vehicle with a utility trailer to collect bagged trash from doorsteps and transport it to on-site compactors. What You'll Do6
- 1Collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment doorsteps using your open-bed pickup truck or tow vehicle with utility trailer, ensuring communities are clean by morning.
- 2Service one or more nearby apartment communities per shift, staying within your assigned local area and avoiding long-distance driving.
- 3Walk apartment communities, climb stairs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions to complete collection routes.
- 4Use the Valet Living mobile app to check in, track your service, and capture photos of completed work.
- 5Transport collected waste to the on-site compactor, with no bulk item collection or off-site dumping.
- 6Maintain a consistent routine and work independently to complete nightly service within the scheduled time window.
Requirements8
- 1Own either an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle paired with an open utility trailer used for the job; SUVs, sedans, and vans without an open bed do not qualify.
- 2Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to get to assigned communities.
- 3Maintain active auto insurance for the vehicle used for collection.
- 4Be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S. (proof required).
- 5Possess a smartphone with a data plan to download and use the Valet Living app, and agree to receive SMS/text communications for scheduling and updates.
- 6Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, walk long distances, and climb multiple flights of stairs.
- 7Work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle bagged trash and waste.
- 8Demonstrate ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine.
