What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver breed-standard or modified trims for a variety of dogs, from Poodles to Terriers.
- 2Build a repeat clientele by converting Camp Bow Wow daycare and boarding customers into grooming clients.
- 3Conduct pre-groom consultations to assess coat condition, skin health, and customer preferences.
- 4Apply safe handling techniques for nervous or aggressive dogs using fear-free methods.
- 5Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, including clippers, scissors, and bathing equipment.
- 6Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations to maximize daily throughput.
- 7Track grooming supplies inventory and request restocks when needed.
- 8Educate pet parents on home grooming routines and recommend nail trimming and ear cleaning add-ons.
Requirements8
- 12+ years professional grooming experience with a portfolio of breed trims.
- 2Certification from a recognized program such as National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) or International Professional Groomers (IPG) preferred.
- 3Proficiency with grooming tables, cage dryers, and high-velocity dryers.
- 4Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift dogs up to 50 pounds.
- 5Strong customer service track record with 5-star online reviews or referrals.
- 6Valid Rabies vaccination records for yourself or willingness to obtain.
- 7Weekend availability required, as grooming demand peaks on Saturdays.
- 8Must pass a background check and complete Camp Bow Wow safety training.
