Dock Worker / Forklift Operator - Newark
Overview
You will load and unload trailers by hand, move cartons onto gravity rollers and pallets, and handle outbound shipments in a physical warehouse role. The position combines forklift operation with manual material handling. You'll join a team at a local Johnstown company supported by Mancan staffing, with Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm shift and weekly pay. What You'll Do8
- 1Load and unload trailers by hand, moving boxes onto gravity rollers and pallets.
- 2Label cartons for outgoing shipments accurately.
- 3Receive truckloads and verify incoming product counts.
- 4Operate forklift to move pallets when assigned, following safety protocols.
- 5Stand and walk continuously for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- 6Assist with sorting and stacking cartons in staging areas.
- 7Keep work area clean and organized to prevent hazards.
- 8Communicate with team leads to prioritize tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
Requirements7
- 1No prior experience required; will train, but forklift certification is a plus.
- 2Ability to perform continuous standing, walking, and lifting for 8-hour shifts.
- 3Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and handling bulky items.
- 4Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- 5Willing to work Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
- 6Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- 7Authorized to work in the US and provide 2 forms of government ID.
