Director of Athletics East Bridgewater Public Schools
Overview
Lead the High School interscholastic athletic program overseeing policies staff students facilities and community relations. Set strategic direction and manage budgets while ensuring compliance with MIAA regulations.
What You'll Do32
- 1Administer the overall program of interscholastic athletics including departmental procedures
- 2Foster philosophy goals reflecting East Bridgewater educational philosophy
- 3Recommend addition elimination and maintenance of athletic programs
- 4Provide leadership in recruitment selection assignment and evaluation of coaching staff
- 5Recommend coaching positions vacant yearly reappointments or non-reappointments
- 6Schedule and contract all interscholastic sports activities
- 7Develop and place appropriate rules and regulations for athletes and coaching staff
- 8Prepare and administer the athletic program budget
- 9Assume supervision present at all home games
- 10Make transportation arrangements for contests
- 11Hire officials for athletic contests when not provided by the league
- 12Make requisition for supplies uniforms and equipment maintaining purchase inventory system
- 13Supervise cleaning storage and care of athletic equipment
- 14Supervise proper administration of school and state rules (MIAA) verifying athlete eligibility
- 15Arrange marshals ticket takers police medical coverage and custodians
- 16Supervise ticket sales and handle monetary accounts
- 17Arrange visiting teams needs including gymnasium locker room facilities and field assistance
- 18Set practice time schedules for coaches on field and in gymnasiums
- 19Schedule athlete physicals before each season
- 20Administer insurance program covering school athletes process reports and claims
- 21Keep accurate records of contest results
- 22Coordinate issuance of all school athletic awards
- 23Complete MIAA tournament forms and tournament-related requests
- 24Attend league meetings stay informed about relevant situations
- 25Inform coaches of current rules and regulations interpret specific applications
- 26Conduct department meetings with coaches to explore problems share experiences
- 27Arrange payments for coaches and officials
- 28Communicate with student activities coordinator director of music marching bands boosters and support groups
- 29Provide opportunities for coaching staff to participate in athletic conferences
- 30Promote school and community interest in athletics
- 31Coordinate community use of athletic facilities systemwide
- 32Perform additional duties as assigned by superintendent

- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Certificate of Athletic Administration
- 3Demonstrated ability to plan organize carry out and evaluate performance
