What You'll Do7
- 1Review and resolve denied and underpaid claims across Medicare Medicaid and commercial payers
- 2Draft and submit timely appeals with clinical and billing documentation
- 3Identify denial trends and recommend workflow changes to prevent recurrence
- 4Follow up with payers on outstanding appeals and escalate unresolved cases
- 5Collaborate with billing coding and front-desk staff to fix upstream errors
- 6Track denial outcomes and report trends to leadership for quality improvement
- 7Stay current on payer policy changes affecting FQHC billing
Requirements6
- 12+ years experience in medical billing or denial management within an FQHC or community health setting
- 2Strong understanding of payer appeal processes CPT/ICD-10 coding and EOB/ERA interpretation
- 3Experience with practice management systems such as eClinicalWorks or NextGen
- 4Certified Professional Coder CPC or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative CRCR preferred
- 5Education in healthcare administration or related field
- 6Analytical skills for interpreting denial patterns and translating findings into process improvements
