Delivery Driver, Local Beer Distribution
Overview
You own safe, on-time delivery for Primal Brewery Belmont, moving craft beer to local accounts across the Belmont, NC area. This role demands physical stamina and road discipline, with a 7:30 AM start. You'll join a tight-knit team of 5 drivers and warehouse staff, supported by dispatchers. Unlike corporate logistics, you get direct contact with customers and see the impact of your work daily.
What You'll Do8
- 1Load delivery truck with kegs and packaged beer, securing cargo for transit
- 2Drive a Ford Transit 250 on local routes, navigating Charlotte-area traffic
- 3Deliver to bars, restaurants, and retailers, getting signatures and collecting payments
- 4Unload product at each stop, placing kegs and cases in designated storage areas
- 5Inspect delivery vehicle daily, reporting maintenance issues to the fleet manager
- 6Communicate route delays or issues via Route4Me app to dispatch
- 7Assist with warehouse inventory counts and loading docks during off-peak hours
- 8Complete driver logs and delivery confirmation forms using Samsara telematics
Requirements8
- 11+ year driving a box truck or similar commercial vehicle
- 2Valid Class C license with clean MVR (no DUI in last 5 years)
- 3Lift 180 lbs repeatedly, using proper form and lifting equipment
- 4Pass DOT physical and drug screening at hire
- 5Navigate with GPS and paper maps, with strong knowledge of Mecklenburg County roads
- 6Work 7:30 AM start, Monday through Saturday, with rotating weekends
- 7Maintain 95% on-time delivery rate per Route4Me analytics
- 8Provide excellent customer service, representing the brewery brand at every stop
