What You'll Do9
- 1Train under the Deli Manager to learn daily operations, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising of deli products.
- 2Assist in supervising a team of deli associates, assigning tasks and ensuring shift coverage.
- 3Monitor food quality and safety, adhering to HACCP guidelines and store policies.
- 4Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- 5Support inventory management, conducting weekly counts and minimizing waste.
- 6Help with hiring and onboarding of new deli staff, including training on equipment and procedures.
- 7Drive sales by suggesting upselling techniques and promoting seasonal items.
- 8Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli department, including equipment like slicers and scales.
- 9Collaborate with store leadership to meet sales and profit targets.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of retail or food service experience, with at least 6 months in a customer-facing role.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- 3Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory software is a plus.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.
- 5Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 7Food handler's certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
