Cyber Security Operations Jr Analyst
Overview
Lead 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and threat detection for DTRA's enterprise network. Work shift nights weekends and holidays. Must be SCI eligible Top Secret clearance. Collaborate with CSSP analysts engineers and agency stakeholders to protect national security interests.
What You'll Do11
- 1Collect and analyze network host artifacts logs system images and packet captures to determine root cause and operational impact
- 2Perform initial cyber incident triage including scope urgency and potential impact identification of vulnerabilities and escalation to Tier II analysts
- 3Manage and document cyber defense incidents from detection through escalation
- 4Provide cyber situational awareness to agency leadership and stakeholders
- 5Monitor computer network defense services to safeguard confidentiality integrity and availability of DTRA supported network environments
- 6Ensure compliance with DoD CSSP Evaluators Securing Metrics ESM
- 7Support existing CSSP structure with four processes tooled to defend system subscriber
- 8Conduct research on threats and adversaries using open source and government databases
- 9Work effectively within a team sharing and discussing discovered information
- 10Maintain active DoD Top Secret clearance IAT Level II certification and CSSP Analyst certification
- 11Utilize Splunk Trellix ESS McAfee HBSS
Requirements8
- 1Active DoD Top Secret clearance IAT Level II certification and CSSP Analyst certification (Security+ CE or better CEH or better)
- 2Minimum 1 year cyber security analyst experience or 3 years IT experience
- 3Proficiency in Splunk PowerShell Bash
- 4Experience with open source research network traffic analysis Windows logs security systems SIEMs network topography OSI model
- 5Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01B
- 6Tanium Interact Module experience Wireshark experience PowerShell Bash experience
- 71 year experience at a CSSP
- 8Desired: SANS GCIH Tanium Interact Module Wireshark Open source research PowerShell Bash
