What You'll Do4
- 1Develop realistic accounting scenarios based on your controllership experience, such as preparing financial statements, drafting journal entries, reconciling accounts and bank statements, and managing month-end or period-end close activities.
- 2Review AI-generated accounting outputs for accuracy, GAAP compliance, and professional soundness, comparing them against the judgment a seasoned accountant would apply.
- 3Provide clear, written feedback that helps the AI improve its performance on close and reporting tasks, including pointing out errors and suggesting better approaches.
- 4Collaborate asynchronously with the research team, sharing insights and iterating on how accounting concepts are represented in training data.
Requirements5
- 1Active CPA license or a minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in corporate, in-house, or public accounting.
- 2Demonstrated ownership of the general ledger and the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- 3A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 4Comfort working with common accounting tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
- 5Strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
