Overview
TBC seeks a Computational Neuroscientist to drive algorithmic discovery by studying real neurons. You will design experiments analyze neural recordings and translate insights into software that enhances AI efficiency. This role sits at the core of our Algorithm Discovery Platform bridging biology and machine learning to create neurally optimized models.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design biological computing experiments encoding temporal spatial and multimodal information into living neural cultures
- 2Develop stimulation paradigms for high-density multi-electrode arrays while defining controls and validation criteria
- 3Analyze large-scale electrophysiological recordings from MEAs and neural-interface platforms to model population dynamics and latent spaces
- 4Translate neural dynamics into mathematical principles and architectures for improving generative video and world models
- 5Build closed-loop infrastructure enabling real-time biological feedback and rapid iteration between wet-lab and AI teams
- 6Own research streams from hypothesis generation through validation and technical communication
- 7Contribute to long-term goals in latent-space interfacing and real-time biological inference
- 8Define success metrics ensuring neural principles yield measurable AI improvements validated against strong controls
- 9Collaborate with wet-lab biologists AI researchers and engineers to advance neuroscience-informed AI systems
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience with electrophysiology and MEA recordings
- 3Ph.D. in computational neuroscience or related field
- 4Strong background in neural-data analysis and dynamical systems
- 5Experience with calcium imaging or brain-computer interfaces
- 6Proficiency in Python and scientific computing tools
- 7Familiarity with dimensionality reduction and latent-variable models
- 8Expertise in neural manifold analysis and dynamical-systems modeling
- 9Ability to design rigorous experiments distinguishing correlation from causation
- 10Publications in top neuroscience or ML venues
- 11Interest in translating frontier research into AI products
