Companion Caregiver for Special Needs Child, Atlanta
Overview
You will own daily care for a 9 year old male client with special needs, delivering companionship and personal support in Atlanta. You work up to 8 hours a day, 5-7 days a week, at $17/hr, with flexible scheduling. You join a care team focused on enhancing quality of life through hygiene assistance, meals, medication, and errands. What You'll Do8
- 1Provide companionship and conversation to the 9 year old client during scheduled shifts.
- 2Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming routines each day.
- 3Support mobility, walking, and prescribed physical therapy exercises.
- 4Prepare balanced meals and snacks, following dietary guidelines.
- 5Perform light housekeeping such as tidying living spaces and doing laundry.
- 6Dispense medication at scheduled times, documenting each dose.
- 7Run errands and accompany the client to appointments or shopping.
- 8Educate family members on safe care techniques and daily routines.
Requirements8
- 1Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role, preferred.
- 2First aid and CPR certified, with current credentials.
- 3Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills.
- 4Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
- 5Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 6Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
- 7Tolerant of small pets in the home environment.
- 8Compassionate, respectful, and ethical in all interactions.
