Companion Caregiver Chicago Home Care
Overview
We seek a compassionate Companion Caregiver to deliver personalized support in Chicago. This role fosters independence and enhances quality of life for seniors and individuals with diverse needs. You will build meaningful relationships while providing essential care that promotes dignity and well-being.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assist with ADLs like hygiene dressing grooming and mobility using Hoyer lifts or manual handling
- 2Monitor patient health by tracking vital signs medication adherence and reporting concerns
- 3Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and assist with meal planning
- 4Provide companionship through conversation recreation and emotional support to reduce loneliness
- 5Maintain safe home environments through light cleaning laundry and organization
- 6Support transportation for medical appointments errands and social outings
- 7Follow care plans strictly while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- 8Perform heavy lifting when needed and assist with mobility support safely
- 9Collaborate with healthcare teams using excellent communication skills
Requirements5
- 1Proven experience in group homes assisted living facilities nursing homes or home health environments
- 2Strong knowledge of dementia care Alzheimer`s and neurodevelopmental disorders
- 3Certification in CPR and First Aid with additional hospice care HIPAA compliance or heavy lifting certifications preferred
- 4Physical ability to lift heavy objects and support mobility safely
- 5Compassionate attitude and proactive caregiving approach

$31 - $37k per year
