Commercial Service Electrician, Troubleshooting & NEC Compliance
Overview
You will own commercial service calls across the Atlanta, GA, Macon, GA, Chattanooga, TN, and Knoxville, TN regions, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems for a family-oriented contractor. You will work directly with customers, applying NEC standards and OSHA safety rules. Join a stable team with a company-provided service truck and gas card. What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair electrical faults in commercial facilities using multimeters and megohmmeters.
- 2Install and maintain circuits, panels, and lighting systems per NEC and OSHA standards.
- 3Read blueprints and schematics to trace wiring and identify failure points.
- 4Document work orders, time sheets, and inspections using a tablet and field service software.
- 5Communicate with customers and supervisors to explain issues and recommend fixes.
- 6Requisition parts and tools from supply houses to complete service tickets.
- 7Maintain the company service vehicle and tool inventory.
- 8Support rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.
Requirements7
- 13+ years commercial electrical experience, preferred.
- 2Proven troubleshooting skills with test equipment like multimeters and megohmmeters.
- 3Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA regulations.
- 4Valid Georgia driver's license and clean MVR record.
- 5Basic computer proficiency for work order documentation.
- 6Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- 7Physical capability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces.
