Certified Medication Aide (CMA) - Assisted Living
Overview
You will administer medications and support daily living for residents in an assisted living community, ensuring their safety and dignity. Reporting to the nursing team, you will work alongside caregivers and nurses to deliver person-centered care. What You'll Do8
- 1Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and document each dose.
- 2Observe residents for side effects or changes in condition and report findings to the nurse.
- 3Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- 4Respond to resident call lights promptly and address needs with empathy and respect.
- 5Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- 6Support new residents during their transition and help them acclimate to the community.
- 7Collaborate with the care team to update care plans and communicate resident progress.
- 8Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Requirements7
- 1Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Texas.
- 26+ months experience working with older adults (preferred).
- 3Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 7Commitment to kindness, integrity, and teamwork.
Salary Insight
$16 - $18k per year
