What You'll Do8
- 1Pull doubles on FedEx linehaul routes departing Charlotte every Tuesday or Wednesday, covering terminal-to-terminal legs.
- 2Run drop-and-hook loads at FedEx terminals, using established lanes to maximize on-time performance.
- 3Maintain a safe driving record and precise logs, adhering to FedEx safety protocols and Tier-5 standards.
- 4Inspect and operate Volvo VNL sleepers, using onboard microwave and inverter for comfort during layovers.
- 5Coordinate with your team driver to manage rest and driving shifts, ensuring continuous coverage.
- 6Track mileage and safety metrics to qualify for the $0.80/mile pay tier after 10,000 miles.
- 7Report to the Charlotte hub 282 dispatch, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- 8Adapt to forced dispatch schedules, accepting all assigned loads without exception.
Requirements6
- 1Class A CDL with doubles/triples endorsement.
- 21+ years driving tractor-trailer within the last 3 years.
- 3Valid FedEx badge (preferred).
- 4Clean driving record with no major violations.
- 5Ability to commute to Charlotte, NC 28208.
- 6Willingness to work forced dispatch and adhere to strict safety and efficiency guidelines.
