What You'll Do8
- 1Haul specialty freight across the lower 48 states in a CDL A tractor-trailer, completing OTR routes on your schedule.
- 2Lease your truck through a 2-4 year program, managing your own business as an independent contractor.
- 3Load and unload freight at pickup and delivery points, ensuring safe and secure transport.
- 4Plan your home time with the CRST Get Thru Home program, including short periods home.
- 5Choose manual or automatic transmission trucks based on your preference.
- 6Accept and complete loads assigned through the company dispatch system to maximize earnings.
- 7Track fuel expenses and utilize the $0.18 per gallon fuel discount and 100% toll reimbursement.
- 8Maintain your truck according to safety and maintenance standards to ensure reliable performance.
Requirements7
- 121 years or older with a valid CDL A license.
- 26 months of OTR experience.
- 3Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, as applicable.
- 4Willingness to lease a truck for 2-4 years with low payments.
- 5Physical ability to load and unload freight (driver assist position).
- 6Readiness to stay out up to 4 weeks at a time, with 3-4 days home, as typical for top earners.
- 7Accept 99% of offered loads to maintain consistent miles and income.
