What You'll Do10
- 1Walk the store before each shift to familiarize yourself with promotions and test sale items
- 2Compute bills and generate itemized lists for customers
- 3Process payments using cash checks credit cards or gift cards
- 4Issue receipts refunds and rain checks while maintaining accurate cash control
- 5Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- 6Greet customers promptly and address their needs
- 7Operate the register by scanning items and displaying totals on the screen
- 8Issue coupons and manage rain checks
- 9Follow all procedures set by the Front End Department
- 10Collaborate with a cross functional team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 21-2 years grocery retail experience preferred
- 3Experience in natural foods industry is a plus
- 4Strong customer service skills and ability to adapt to high volume
- 5Basic knowledge of math weights and measures
- 6Proficiency with MS Office applications and point of sale systems
- 7Ability to lift packages up to 100 pounds occasionally
- 8Flexible availability for varied shifts
- 9Commitment to teamwork and supporting colleagues
